"I'm not against a bit of Ikea and I have bought odd bits over the years. None of the stuff you have to put together yourself, just lamps and cushions or bathroom stuff. Ikea is not really suited to my Gothic Pile but I think it has its uses."

Ikea sells stuff. So? Is it criminal? My hungry walls are lined with tall quality cabinets, bought for a pittance compared to other sources. A couple tables, various lamps and linens and kitchenware, all lugged uphill a couple hundred klicks from the nearest Ikea store. Carefully selected, nobody else need know that it's Ikea stuff. It's just stuff. If it doesn't suit one, shop somewhere else.
